Cleaning the scratching post

The cushions of this scratching post can therefore be washed, but the rest of the scratching post can also be cleaned. In the first place, it is never possible to remove the hair from the scratching post with a vacuum cleaner. When you are done with that, we recommend that you use a steam cleaner. The felt is thoroughly cleaned by steaming. The steam also kills the bacteria.

If you want to deal with cleaning products, we recommend that you read carefully. Be sure not to use any cleaning products that contain harmful substances to your cat. Also make sure that the product does not stain or is corrosive to the scratching post. Also do not use chlorine or ammonia. If your cat smells this, he is inclined to pee over it. And that is a shame if you have just cleaned.

If you are cleaning the scratching post because of fleas, it is best to use special flea spray. Always read the manual first.
