The Comfort Jade is a luxurious scratching post, which looks fantastic due to its sleek design. This sleek design works very well in modern interiors. But the scratching post is also very functional: it is equipped with a sturdy scratching post, a lounger and a cat house. The cushions are made of sherpa (sheepskin) and are washable at 30 degrees. The rest of the scratching post is made of high-quality felt, made from lambswool. All in all, a high-quality scratching post with a long lifespan and a modern design. And of course a wonderful rest and play area for your cat!
For which cat is this scratching post suitable?
Due to the thickness of the scratching trunk (20 centimeters) and the sisal thickness (1 cm), this scratching post is extremely suitable for large cat breeds. But your little cat will also enjoy this scratching post.
Material
The base of the scratching post is made of sturdy wood, covered with high-quality felt. Furthermore, the scratching trunk is equipped with extra thick sisal that is glued to the trunk. The cushions are made of Sherpa and can be washed at 30 degrees.
Dimensions
The scratching post has a height of approximately 86 centimeters. The bottom plate has a size of 86 x 56 centimeters. The pole is 20 centimeters thick.
Cleaning the scratching post
The cushions of this scratching post can therefore be washed, but the rest of the scratching post can also be cleaned. In the first place, it is never possible to remove the hair from the scratching post with a vacuum cleaner. When you are done with that, we recommend that you use a steam cleaner. The felt is thoroughly cleaned by steaming. The steam also kills the bacteria.
If you want to deal with cleaning products, we recommend that you read carefully. Be sure not to use any cleaning products that contain harmful substances to your cat. Also make sure that the product does not stain or is corrosive to the scratching post. Also do not use chlorine or ammonia. If your cat smells this, he is inclined to pee over it. And that is a shame if you have just cleaned.
If you are cleaning the scratching post because of fleas, it is best to use special flea spray. Always read the manual first.
Catnip spray
Some cats do not immediately love the new scratching post. As a result, your cat may start to scratch the furniture. Fortunately, Catnip offers a solution. You can spray catnip on the scratching post so that the cat immediately feels attracted to the scratching post. Read all about catnip on our blog.
